Let it snow!....Let it snow!

Finally, a winter wonderland has arrived to match the mood of the season! Last night it began to snow, and it is supposed to snow possibly again today! This Canadian girl just finds it hard to do without that cold pretty white stuff during the holiday season!...so let it snow! (Just not too hard next week, so that we can make it up to northern British Columbia to spend Christmas with my mom and dad!)

Khloe Anne ~ Reading!

Christmas Baking!

I had a lot of fun baking up a storm for the season!
Whipped Shortbread is one of those Canadian traditions
that I brought along with me to Pennsylvania!:)

"Praise to the Lord, The Almighty, The King of Creation!"

This was the song that was running through my mind after we received a wonderful report today in regards to Kent's ITP. His counts are now 163,000. These numbers our in the lower perameters of normal. Our hearts were filled with praise and gratitude to the Lord for His healing touch. We were submitted to whatever the Lord allowed, however, we were so delighted that our Christmas plans will be able to remain as previously laid out! God is so kind to us!

We are so blessed! We had a very nice Thanksgiving with family, and we are thankful for the time that we can spend with family. We were reminded of our blessings when Kent's platelet counts dropped to 7,000. He had to be admitted to the hospital over the weekend for treatments. It reminded us of just how special family is, and how we must treasure our times spent together!... God saw fit to answer prayer, and we received the wonderful news on Sunday morning that Kent's counts had come up to 57,000. We are praying for continued answer to prayer and complete healing! God's will be done!

Khloe has discovered that she is trying to "sprout" two tiny lil' teeth! So she likes to stick out her lip and feel these new arrivals!

Our little girl is growing so fast! Daddy is so proud of her!

We hope this works!

Kent received a treatment yesterday for his ITP. It was a very expensive treatment so we hope that it will reverse this disorder after the first dose. However, if it does not he is scheduled for four more treatments. They will check his platalet count after each treatment in hopes that the next treatment is not necessary. Thank you everyone for your prayers.

A Good Report

Kent was diagnosed with ITP, an immune disorder where his immune system has attacked his blood platelets. We found out through lab work that his BP levels which are supposed to be around 150,000 were at a very critical number of only 5,000. Kent went in for lab tests again today, and had a good report that his body is responding to the treatment and his BP levels are climbing! Thank the Lord!

Thankful!

We have been recently reminded that God has richly blessed us. Kent just recently had a serious medical issue come up in his life. Thankfully, it seems to be something that the doctors can remedy, however, it reminded us of just how fragile life is. We know that we are in God's hands and that His perfect will is being performed in us, but once again we would like to thank Him for the gift of love, life, and each other!
