Oregon Coast

We recently were privileged to go on a vacation out to the Oregon Coast with some of our family. Since my Dad and Mom live so very far away, we feel that it is very important for the girls to get to see them as often as possible. We would have really liked to have been able to travel up to Canada, but ticket prices to fly up there are extremely ridiculous and to drive just takes too long. So we made a compromise. We were able to find a steal of a deal on tickets out to the coast. Thus the rendezvous in Oregon.
We spent many hours just enjoying the peaceful scenes of the ocean. We went on long walks, hiked trails, and played lots of board games, etc. We had some really awesome spirit filled times together as well. But that is enough detail about what we got to and didn't get to do, I hate to sound like I am flaunting our vacation in the face of those who had to just enjoy the scenery around home this year:) So I will just say that we felt very blessed and spoiled to have the privilege of sharing this time with my mom and dad as well as Kent's mom and dad and youngest sister, Susie.

Four Months:)...etc.

Where does time go? Kallista is now four months old. She is such a little dolly. Her and Khloe are so devoted to each other. They both light up at sight of the other. I hope they are always best friends.
I decided it was time that I should take some updated pics of these little dollies:) So we had a fun time out in our back yard...and sometimes a little interesting too:)

Three Months Old!

Kallista is now three months old. She is such a smiley, cheery lil' person. She is trying real hard to roll over. She can get almost all the way, but she gets hung up on her elbow:)
She loves it when we sing to her, and sometimes it sounds like she tries to hum when she hears music.
She loves her big sister, even though Khloe forgets to be gentle at times. Khloe also adores Kallista and has a tendency to nigh unto drown her with kisses:)

She makes you want to smile!

"Hi, everyone."

So Sweet.

"That is just so funny."

Love those fingers.

There's that cheesy look again.

Such a doll.

Getting Sleepy.

Posing for Mamma.

"I just need something to do."

"I think my hat is messed up, Mom."

"Oh, well, those fingers just are irresistable."

P.S. For those who might be curious, Kallista is pronounced Ka-lee-sta:)

Kallista Kaye

Kallista is now ten weeks old. At nine weeks  she weighed a little over twelve pounds. She is short and stout:) She is in the 29th percentile for height and the 78th for weight:)...I love it. Her daddy gets quite exasperated sometimes when he is changing her diaper because he has a hard time keeping track of all the rolls and making sure each one is clean:)
Kallista is a very easy baby. Sometimes she fusses just because she wants to be put in her little pillow. She smiles at anyone and anytime. She rarely cries, but watch out should she decide to wail.

Our little Khloe is such a busy beaver these days. I need to take some new pics of her. She keeps up quite a stream of conversation. Her newest thing is asking questions. I have heard her count to at least four and sometimes beyond. However, I can not get her to count beyond two on command:) She knows at least five colours; but sometimes gets a colour wrong just because she is in too much of a hurry and is not concentrating.
She loves her little sister, but tries to mother her to excess. She has to be reminded very many times to be gentle. She is such an exuberant child that she gets a little carried away with loving, Baby KK:)

We are so blessed to have two such wonderful little girls. I just pray that we will be able to raise them to serve the Lord with all their hearts from a very young age! Oh Lord, please give us wisdom!
