He is Risen Indeed!

We had a very wonderful Easter! It seemed as if the King of Kings and Lord of Lords, our Risen Saviour, was so very close to our hearts in both the Sunday morning and evening services. It seems like we have been away from our home church and on the road quite a bit lately, so it was so nice to just soak in His Presence.
I am so thankful to be serving a risen King! Praise His Wonderful Name!

Family pics....poor little Kallista was struggling with a cold.
She was just having a hard time with the whole picture thing.

I am such a blessed lady to have such sweet little dollies to love and nurture!

Ten Month Old Cutie Pie

Kallista is now ten months. She cruises everywhere. She has also been practicing her walking a lot. She can walk about half way across the room now and then she loses her balance and down she goes:) She is so busy and full of energy. She loves people and loves to smile and interact. She is still so jolly!

"Come, Mom"

Birthday Girl

How can it be possible that I already have a three year old in my house! Our little Miss Khloe turned three on the 19th of this month. She is such a little sweetie. Khloe's imagination is very active. One of her favorite things to pretend is that she is a big lady. She walks around with her baby doll in her "clompy" sounding shoes, "talking" on her phone, and telling me stories of how her baby is misbehaving and such. She is so entertaining. Khloe has started really showing an interest in singing. She loves to go up front during our school services and sing "Jesus Loves Me" on the microphone for the congregation.
Khloe is a sensitive child and shows a sincere desire to love Jesus. She has already asked Him to come into her heart. We have our times of battling the wills and facing off with stubbornness. However, thankfully she does submit:) She loves people and likes to make lots of friends. However, she does have a pretty big personal bubble and doesn't like people to make over her too much. She is very sharp and quick to pick up on things...we already have to be careful what we say in front of her. Khloe has filled our life with so much bounce, fun, and giggles....I love those times that she randomly says, "I love you, mommy." She often will say to me, "You are a good mommy." Children have such a way of warming your heart:) She is a carefree, spirited little soul that we covet for the Lord and His work. Thank you to the Lord for blessing our home with little Khloe Anne, now may we raise her to serve You forever!

Khloe loves her story books

To The Young Lady

The Art of Womanhood

The Feminist Movement tells us
Men just want to suppress us.
We are equal and maybe better than men.
Be aggressive.
If it feels good do it.
God tells us
God made man because he wanted a friend in His likeness.
God created woman because He saw that man needed a friend and companion that was like him.
God did not create man to suppress him, but to fulfill a role of friendship.
God did not create woman to be a man’s slave, but a companion.
God created a chain of protection and leadership – God, Man, Woman.
“Love and Respect”
We like to fall off the bridge either way – either man does not love and so suppresses;  or the woman doesn’t respect and feminates the man.
Respect is non self-absorbed, uplifting, considerate, and makes one feel full of worth.
Respect earns love that is kind, considerate, indulging, and full of  respectful conduct.

To The Young Lady

You are full of worth – you were the crowning creation – the icing on the cake.
You are one to be protected, cherished, loved, and given respectful consideration.
You are not a door-mat, a slave, a servant of man’s passions, or a second-rate creation.
You are meant to be a friend &  helper (helpmate).
As a waterfall to a forest, as a flower on a path, as icing on the cake – you are the jewel of God’s creation.
The Woman of God’s Motto – if it is glorifying to God, if it does not demean me as the jewel of God’s creation, if it does not undermine the sense of protection and leadership that God built into our male counterpart – then do it.
Go ice skating – skate faster than any of the guys – but when you fall allow that gentleman to help you up.
Go snowmobiling – climb all the same peaks as the guys – but when you get stuck allow the guys to help you.
Don’t demand it – just be thankful when they offer.
Go chop that wood – but let the guy know that he can beat you and you are proud of him for it.
Go shovel that snow, plant the garden, feed the cows, ect. – but when the guy offers to help or do it for you be a lady and make him feel needed.
My Dad’s motto was that I could do all the rough and tough stuff I wanted to if I also knew when to be a lady – the crowning jewel of creation.

The Dating Relationship

Don’t be too easy.
Guys need something to conquer and protect.
Guys might take a cheap girl for a one night fling, but they will never marry her – she didn’t show respect to them or herself and in return she got lust not love.
Don’t be forward.
Guys like a girl that is not desperate – she is having a good life and really could take or leave him.
Guys like to think that they noticed you first – don’t be the one to hint at a relationship.
You are the crowning jewel to his life and not the slave to his passion.
Allow him to work for your affection.
Allow him to feel as if he is amazing,
but that he just discovered that he is not quite complete without you.
We are built to nurture and they are built to conquer.
They have a sex drive we will never understand.
Don’t tempt them in dress or conduct – they don’t need you to turn them on to love you.
You don’t need physical to be loved.
Love is a choice, a decision, a friendship; the physical will follow then in its proper bounds.
Lust demands – Love is earned; Lust can’t wait  - Love keeps the right time table;
Lust abuses – Love considers the other above their own desire.

Girls, even you who have maybe been abused or have fallen morally, you have UNESTIMATABLE value! Don’t negate your worth. Don’t sell yourself cheap. Don’t believe the lies of our culture and of our enemy the Devil. Don’t throw yourself in the path of any ole’ dude who walks your way. Wait for the man who will meet your highest dreams and expectations. There are a lot of things that are worse than being single – abuse, lust, divorce, single mom’s, wasted dreams, and a life of heartache!

Be of good cheer, you were created so special!
God has a very good plan for you!
